The Digital Champions Network’s reward scheme, the Digital Champion 7-Online Challenge, has now re-opened! Now all England-based Digital Champions in the Network can get their hands on a free tablet or laptop just for helping people to get online.
It has been made possible following Digital Unite successfully receiving funding again from the Tinder Foundation as part of their Department for Business, Innovation and Skills Future Digital Inclusion programme.
Over 90 tablets, computers and laptops were given to the Digital Champions between January and March 2015 with 1,000 learners helped with Basic Online Skills. Due to this success the initiative has been relaunched and there is a range of mobile kit and connectivity available thanks to partners Happus and Social Telecoms.
