Since we relaunched our website last year we’ve seen the number of our visitors go from strength to strength and can now proudly boast a monthly audience size of almost 130,000, that’s about one visitor every 20 seconds!

The most popular area of our site is our extensive collection of free learning guides which have been developed based on the way people learn digital skills, how they learn them and what they’re looking for to support that learning. As such we often take the top spot for many of the relevant search terms in Google such as ‘How to use a computer keyboard’ and ‘How to connect to the internet’.

Among our most frequently viewed guides are our computer basics. Our guide explaining the differences between Windows 7 and Windows 8 has had a whopping 38,000 views alone suggesting many people are still trying to get to grips with this new operating system.

In the last 12 months we’ve seen a massive 285% increase in the number of return visitors and the highest number of users are from London with those in the North i.e. Sheffield, Liverpool and Leeds coming a close second.

Around 770 websites recommend our content to their users and over 45 organisations have or are looking to create dedicated portal pages featuring our guides on their own websites, with Wiltshire Council, Innisfree Housing Association and Doncaster Libraries to name but a few. To find out more about how your organisation could have this comprehensive free resource on their website click here.

Beyond the guides, our tutor network is the second most popular area of our site and our active online community now has over 3,500 registered members with over 5,000 community pages viewed every month.

Continually critiqued and refreshed, our website is designed to provide our visitors with easy and intuitive access to the full range of resources and services we offer.  Whether it’s developing personal skills or understanding how to help others, we’re delighted that www.digitalunite.com is proving to be the place to go to support people on their digital journey.
